Triumphant Victorious Reminders
Inspired by the Holy Spirit
Written by: Teresa Criswell
"But thanks be to God, Who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ."
~ I Corinthians 15:57 ~
Did you know that when Jesus proclaimed the words, "It is Finished", it was beyond significant? This powerful declaration was also used by the Romans. After the Romans would overtake a city, with fierce shouts they would declare, "It is Finished"! Can you imagine the day that Jesus declared this statement as he was giving His life upon that old rugged cross; the power and the intensity of that statement that must have arrested the Roman soldiers who stood in their post during this grueling execution?
To be reminded of the last words Jesus spoke before dying on the cross is that what He declared only revealed who He was, is and is to come...The Author and The Finisher of our faith! I am reminded today that our faith in God through Jesus Christ is the Victory that overcomes the world!
The Finisher of our faith said, "It is Finished"!!! When we see and/or hear from our circumstances, people and even in our minds that we are finished...we can remind them ALL by the power of the Love of God that which saved us from being finished...because of our Finisher, Jesus Christ!
Jesus declared and proclaimed the Battle Cry of Victory as He took back that which was already His...US! He liberated us from the chains that held us captive to the burden of sin resulting in death.
Hallelujah to our God who is our Victorious Redeemer!

Great post, Teresa! "The Finisher of our faith". I love it. I've been clinging to 1 John 4:4 - 'You have already won a victory ... because the Spirit that is in you is greater than the spirit that in the world' What a wonderful assurance!
ReplyDeleteHi Teresa,
ReplyDeleteEncouragement pours out of your heart into the words of this post. I am encouraged by these words, "When we see and/or hear from our circumstances, people and even in our minds that we are finished...we can remind them ALL by the power of the Love of God that which saved us from being finished" -- Thanks be to God who gives us the victory! "...because of our Finisher, Jesus Christ!"
Blessings and peace.
