December 25, 2022 | The Invitation to Seek

Image
InterVINED Art Doodle  (Part of Triumphant Victorious Reminders) "Those who look to Him are radiant with joy;  their faces are never covered in shame." - Psalm 34:5 - It's amazing how God truly invites us to seek Him in the midst of the good, bad and the uncertainties of life.  Something I have come to learn is how the most reliable people in our lives, if we are not careful, we cling to them more than God. Or perhaps in the greatest of times, some don't see why God is needed in their moments. Then there are the moments in life where we ask God where He is when we have felt forsaken.  There are so many scenarios.  And yet God is right there.  Those incredible moments of life, where things seem so wonderful, even those moments have now become my alerts or  notifiers to remember how I must cling to The Lord even more. The importance of  clinging to Him and His grace for the purpose of properly carrying those beautiful moments with Jesus as He is our true perspective.

"While Jesus was in the Temple, he watched the rich people dropping their gifts in the collection box. Then a poor widow came by and dropped in two small coins. "I tell you the truth," Jesus said, "This poor widow has given more than all the rest of them. For they have given a tiny part of their surplus, but she, poor as she is, has given everything she has."  - Luke 21:1-4 NLT -  Have you ever felt like you deserved something because it's what you believe you would do for someone else?  I've learned that this thought process is another form of false expectations. Unrealistic expectations placed on people. When we unintentionally place those things on others; we set them up to fail. We set ourselves up to be offended and then convince ourselves they are a disappointment. It's a needless recipe for disaster.  Recently I was lovingly convicted by my own self-righteous thoughts and doings. Audaciously bragging in my head of what I would do for others

September 14, 2022 | To Truly Lend

Image
After reading Proverbs 19:17, a thought came… "How did we get the lending of the world and the lending of God so twisted up?” God's kind of lending has no selfish agendas. He helps those who have fallen and gets them to rise again. He doesn't help while saying, "You owe me." The lending of the world is of course necessary; but not when helping others who are down. The lending of the world says, “I know you’re down; but you still owe me (with interest).” As believers in Christ, what an incredible gift we can give. The gift of giving to others without expecting anything in return from them; truly fixing our giving on God while others benefit. In whatever way we are able to give; it's an honor to do so from God’s magnificent love. Giving from God's love allows us to continually sow seeds of blessings to others whether we deem a person is deserving or undeserving. The greatest investment we can make besides following after Jesus, is investing in people! Follo

I know you don't tolerate evil people...You have patiently suffered for me without quitting. But I have this one complaint against you. You don't love Me or each other as you did at first! Look how far you have fallen. Turn back to Me and do the works you did at first..."  - Revelation 2:2-4 (NLT) Doing all the good things... Praying for people. Seeking opportunities to be hospitable. Writing books testifying of the greatness of God. Posting encouraging social media content.  Gathering with other Christ-like minded women. Yet all the while, truly forgetting the WHY .  So often I would do, do, do because that's what you do as a Christian. This is how you're recognized as one of His own. Yet God in His mercy and patience, woos us to Himself to respond to His goodness first so we can truly do from a p

January 10, 2022 - Doing Good, Blessing and Praying

Triumphant Victorious Reminders | Heavenly Wit "But to those who are willing to listen, "Love your enemies. Do good to those who hate you. Bless those who curse you. Pray for those who hurt you..." - Luke 6:27-36 Have you ever wondered, "How the heck do I love my enemies?" I know I have wondered this quite often. Yet there was an awakening years ago as I was reading today's scripture passage. The Holy Spirit opened my eyes to know how we love our enemies . The how is stated in the next sentence. It's spoken right after Jesus says to love your enemies. The how is: Doing good no matter what others do. Blessing those who curse you. Praying for those you who hurt you. That's it! That's how. Wow! Just think, He is setting us up to sow seeds of blessing so we constantly reap a harvest of blessing. With those blessings, it's amazing to be reminded that the greatest blessing is being aware of His glorious presence so we are aware of Him even i
