Triumphant Victorious Reminders
Inspired by the Holy Spirit

II Timothy 3:16-17
Furry, cute and springing to action; he leaps from the ground onto the horizontal fence posts. The adorable little critter and his sudden moves to his sudden moments of playing 'freeze'; it's truly a reminder of those moments when I feel like him - this squirrel.
Do you ever have those 'squirrely' moments?
You're accomplishing something with this adrenaline like rush.
As you brace yourself to do the task at hand, suddenly you pause and say, "Wait! What was I doing?"
We can get like this with the things of God and even the Lord; at least I know I can.
I'm 'gun-ho' on wanting to have that intimate time with Him and then suddenly those thoughts interrupt:
"Did I shut the stove off?"
"Those dishes are piling up..."
"If I don't do the laundry now, it's going to pile up even more"
"When am I going to have time to...
"I need to work out..."
O the squirrel thoughts come hurling in driving us NUTS (That punn was definitely intended)!
As we realize the busyness of life can consume us, may we sit back as children of God, no longer 'attempting' to manage time, instead utilize the time we've been given and allow those moments with Him to consume us so that we can begin overflowing in Him. As we ask Him, "What do you want me to be a part of today?" Let's be silent as my friend says for about 30 seconds and wait on the Lord. As we practice and exercise being 'silent', the more we can discipline ourselves to wait and listen to His heart. Whether we are led by the Spirit of God to the Word of God or He downloads us with a picture or a thought as He speaks to us may we begin to ask, "What do I need to learn today?" "Help me to be sensitive when a test comes my way so that I pass and not fail."
Do you have issues with jumping to conclusions?
Then practice in not being quick to respond, instead being quick to be silent as you immediately go to God and ask Him what He says about that situation.
Like most, do you have issues with being kind to unkind people?
Then practice saying, "God bless you" over people that you see in your mind. This helps to release offense and unforgiveness and catch on to the supernatural love of God for that person or those people.
The triumphant victorious reminder today is that God equips us on how to walk out in obedience...now it's up to us to utilize the equipment that He has provided, revealed in His Word.
May the 'squirrely' moments be transformed to being still and knowing that He is God. Take the 'squirrely' worries of your life and cast them on Him and say, "I don't know what to do with this, but Lord you do...so thank you for showing me what to do, how to do it and when to properly do what needs to be done in this situation." Ask God to allow the Holy Spirit to rest on you revealing to you the spirit of Wisdom and Understanding, Counsel and Might, Knowledge and the Fear of the Lord (Isaiah 11:2). For when we begin to Know the Lord for Who He really is, the fear and awe of the Lord comes over us to execute Holy Counsel with Great Might, Understanding with Wisdom how to walk out what needs to be walked out by the Holy Spirit of God!

Sure, I have those moments....and especially relate to "did I turn off the stove". I find myself rushing out the door often, only to have to rush back in to make sure I unplugged something! LOL. But seriously and most powerful is the importance of your reminder to wait on the Lord for His counsel (Almighty Counselor!) The Holy Spirit will guide us if we slow down and listen to him. He knows exactly what we need. Thanking God today for this great reminder Teresa, and thanking Him for you always! xoxo
