Faith, Hope and Trust or Misplaced Faith, Hope and Trust

Have you ever had this tinge of faith, hope and trust that the process you're going through would get better; or that someone you knew would be healed? Perhaps you had faith that someone's marriage would be restored or maybe you had faith that you'd finally receive that 'thing' you've been longing for. Perhaps you were even believing God to have children or believing God that one of your children would be able to have children.

With a few of these examples of seeming hope and faith, I have realized there are so many things I have hoped for and had faith in and yet, all the while not realizing something so significant.  There was a cutting yet joyful realization that I was awakened to this false hope for things to happen instead of having faith in the greatest happening and that is Almighty God.

Today, let's remember this Triumphant Victorious Reminder of contending for the faith...but it's no longer fighting for a vaporing circumstance to change. Instead, it's a true contending for the faith to stay fixed on God in the midst of the circumstances. It's this fight to know that no matter what the circumstances say, you are and will remain trusting in Almighty God. Even if nothing else changes around you for the better; you will forever be continuously changed into the likeness of Christ from now into eternity.

Today's final note, Hebrews 11:6 says, "Without faith it is impossible to please God." And yet when you read the entire passage of chapter 11, it's awe inspiring to read about all the saints of the past who had faith, trusted and hoped in the Lord even if they never saw anything else unto death. For each of them, to know God was more than enough for them. Hebrews 11:35b says it best, "But others were tortured, refusing to turn from God in order to be set free..."

What a Triumphant Victorious Reminder today...to know this incredible, majestic God is the greatest miracle for our hope, faith and trust to be fixed on Him no matter what the circumstances say. Let's remember today, this is our temporary home - we long for our true home and that is in Christ and Christ alone.

Triumphant Victory is who our God is,

Teresa Ann
