Triumphant Victorious Reminders
Inspired by the Holy Spirit

"...For I am the Lord that healeth thee."

I was blown away by the fight Farrah Fawcett (Famous Hollywood Actoress), perseveres through as she battles cancer. When I say she is battling cancer, she battles it with a smile on her face, giving hugs and kisses to those that surround her and that beautiful trademark smile that says 'Farrah' all over it.

She produced a documentary, 'Farrah's Story' on her battle with cancer as she had endured treatments so extreme it made me wince in pain for her. The positive tenacity that she lives by is nothing short of amazing. She shed many tears of pain, and hearing the bad news of cancer returning when she only expected to hear good news that it was gone.

To see a glimpse of her struggle and to see a glimpse of her great pain and suffering, she was still able to be grateful to God that she was still alive. Her life as I watched in amazement, I was blessed who she surrounded herself with. She did not surround herself with the naysayers. No matter what the outcome, she and her friends constantly spoke 'life' over her grim situation.

Throughout the documentary she would read an entry from her journal. Her writings were unbelievably insightful and inspirational.

I want to leave you with this quote from her journal entry and I pray that it edifies you in some way:

"The devil makes you sick, God can heal you. I believe in Him, His power and His infinite wisdom. I know I must do my work also but I cannot do it without His help. But I must never forget how blessed I have been He has given me gifts and happiness beyond any of my simple expectations. My expectation now and my deepest desire is to...live"
~ Farrah Fawcett ~

May we remember how blessed we are, as we breathe another breath of life today. May our greatest desire be to live for Him.

  1. We watched Farrah's documentary and were blown away by her story. Really makes you stop and think how short and precious life is and appreciate how our own "struggles" can shrink in comparison to someone else's struggle or fight for their life!
