February 16, 2010, "Receiving and Releasing"

"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning."
~ James 1:17 ~

Wooooooooooooooooo!!!! Our computer is back into full working order! I thank the Lord for my friend Rachel and her husband, Ivan. I applaud and thank them both for utilizing their marketplace skills to assist our family in such an awesome way! Rachel and Ivan, please know how grateful we are and I am excited to 'trade' my organizing skills in return for this great hook up! Our applications are even better than before...thank you! My fingers are very grateful as they are dancing upon the keyboard at this very moment!

As I write today, I am more than amazed to see my heart's yearning for more of what God wants to reveal in my heart, mind and life. The yearning for God and His Word, allows My Father's desires for me to manifest upon my life. The transformation that wants to come upon me is quite humbling. There are many things He is so lovingly highlighting in my heart that need to be dealt which is revealed in my attitude, especially when no one is around. I know we all deal with it, however, it's pretty interesting to see that I'm finally open to Him getting it out so those things that are of Him can spring forth from the inside allowing His love to be poured out. The most humbling awakening is realizing that ultimately it's my choice to receive the transformation or reject it.

I wanted to share a small excerpt from my journal to the Lord. I pray that you are blessed as I am by His Love that never fails and never gives up!

When writing this, I was thinking about the offenses we tend to take on, ultimately and unknowingly rejecting the gifts from God. If an offense comes our way, it is not a gift to receive, so as tempting as it may be, we are not to receive it. The gifts that are from God are to be received with great joy, knowing that when we receive from the Father of Lights, there is a great need to release for God's awesome glory. The act of receiving is knowing that there must be an act of releasing, revealing His great love for others to be forever changed, glorifying His awesome Name!

Your gifts Lord are meant to receive so that those gifts can be released onto others.
Teresa, do not withhold that which belongs to Me, Your God:
(Compassion, mercy, lovingkindness, encouragement and forgiveness).

To much is given, much is required. Much grace was given to freely operate in compassion, mercy, and forgiveness..so because of that which was given to me, much is required to release.

It is not for me to withhold mercy, forgiveness, or encouragement from those we would normally and rather not share it with. Especially to those who have hurt us.

Now I can not and must not abuse those gifts of You Lord either. In my fiber, even before accepting You Jesus into my life as my Lord and Savior, there was encouragement within my 'make up'...still revealing the gift from You, God as I was knit together by You even before I took my first breath upon this earth. However, when I would use (notice the word 'use') encouragement, it was because it felt good. It was something I used to make myself feel good, like an 'at-a-boy' feeling. It would even become a 'high' to encourage others. Yet even in that high, it was all about nurturing my need for me, me, me. It was not to glorify You Lord.

I no longer want to be addicted to encourage for my own needs-but to give glory to You which is already Yours! However, now I can contribute to that which is already Yours!"

As we are motivated to use, may we transfer the using to utilizing with great care. Great care in knowing that we are stewards of what belongs to Him. I am reminded today of my motives. Reminding myself to be motivated purely and simply because of Who He is and what He has done in my life.
