April 24, 2010, "Fret or Righteousness?"

"The fool says in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt, their deeds are vile; there is no one who does good. The Lord looks down from heaven on the sons of men to see if there are any who understand, any who seek God. All have turned aside, they have together become corrupt; there is no one who does good, not even one. Will evildoers never learn - those who devour my people as men eat bread and who do not call on the Lord? There they are, overwhelmed with dread, for God is present in the company of the righteous. You evildoers frustrate the plans of the poor, but the Lord is their Refuge..."
~ Psalm 14 ~

When I fret Lord, do I foolishly, yet unintentionally say there is no God? Is my fretting mind revealed by my mouth and actions that say, "Almighty God is unable to overcome?"

Will my unwavering, doubtful evil flesh ever learn? Will I be seduced away into a state of double mindedness, divided in the mind, overwhelmed with dread? Yet You Lord are present in the company of the righteous...the righteous who know they are righteous, not because of themselves...but because of Your righteousness in and on them.

In Your righteousness, I am reminded that the evil doer frustrates the plans of the poor. I am awakened to assist in the plans of the poor in spirit..to assist by taking the poor and needy into overflowing wealth and joy because of Who You are Lord! In Your Righteousness, Your Glory can not help but be revealed! Hallelujah to Our Awesome God! I applaud You O Lord, for You are Mighty. You are Almighty God! How can I not trust You? How can my flesh lead me to the grave of fret and despair? I must lead my mind to the abundance of what is already provided through Jesus Christ, for those who have no more hope!!!!

I am reminded today that Faith In You Jesus resurrects the hope in me that was once deferred!
