TRIUMPHANT VICTORIOUS REMINDERS
Inspired by the Holy Spirit

"Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work."
~ II Timothy 2:21 ~ NKJV

"Mom, I think I want to be a pastor when I grow up." I said, "Really?" She said, "Mom, I have a strong voice and I'm not afraid to use it. And I love people; like you do. I 'just' want to be a pastor."

I thought to myself, "Wow! Out of all things to want to be, she wants to be a pastor?" I told her, "Tristin, you would be a wonderful pastor. You love people." I also got to tell her that if it weren't for God allowing her to be in our life, I don't know if I would truly desire to live for Him like I do right now. I was able to tell her how God had utilized her as an inspiration in my life to live for Him in ways I could never imagine. I told her, "You know I don't know if I would have ever written my book or written devotionals if it weren't for you in my life inspiring me as a vessel from God."

Furthermore, I want to be an example like my parents had been to us as people who trusted in God. To know that I had such a wonderful example, I wanted to make sure that Tristin had that example as well.

I told Tristin just like a pastor should, she by the power of the Holy Spirit of God, pulls out the gifts of God that are already within me and her dad. We are amazed by God's grace and mercy in our lives as He has equipped us in ways we could never imagine. It is truly mind boggling!

It was such a blessing when I heard her response as her voice shook with tears rolling down her sweet little face and she said, "Mom, thank you for telling me that." I was more than blessed by her heart being touched in such a way to know that she knew she was appreciated and she is a source of inspiration from the One Who is All-Inspiring...Almighty God!

I am still in awe knowing that I get to be this little girl's mom. It is a great reminder that without Christ there are many things I deserve, but in His infinite mercy He has allowed me the wonderful things that I don't deserve. However, in Him I will not say that I am unworthy, because He has called me worthy. Not because of what I have done, but because of Who He is and what He has already done!

May we be a people who pull the treasures of God out of others. May we celebrate the gifts of God that are within each of us; waiting to flow like a rushing river! Those things are able to flourish when we allow Jesus Christ to become the Lord of our life.

This is another reminder that He is not 'just' taking residence in my heart and life, but He must BE the Lord of my life!
