I love learning more and more about the things God has equipped in us so that it can go through us, impacting others and situations for His glory!

Yesterday at church after we came together in singing praises to the Lord (another beautiful more known form of worship), the kids were released to go to their classes. As Pastor Stephen Behrman encouraged and taught us from the Word, his wife, Pastor Kim Behrman encouraged and taught our children from the Word.

I was greatly encouraged when we were released as I found out what she had taught but also challenged the children. The challenge is that every day they speak The Word of God over themselves and their situations like at breakfast time, before they go to school. It was so encouraging to me, so I had to share it with you all. By the way, the kids were so excited that they said they could also place a copy of what she gave them in their 'data' folders at school.

It is a great way to memorize the Word, so when it is time for the 'Sword of the Spirit' to come out, there is effectiveness, because they know why they quote the Word. Not just to say they memorized something, but that it becomes effective in their life and they see that The Word is ALIVE!

This is what she wrote and gave to the kids:

Remember that we have God's Word to help us out in life, when we don't know what to do or when we might be feeling afraid. Just like David, we can say that God is for me ~ He is on my side. Put the Word IN your mouth, allowing His Words to LIGHT up your path and bring you the help you need!

A. When you're feelin' unable, weak, dumb or intimidated...
Philippians 4:13, You say..."I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength."

B. When you're feelin' scared, afraid, out of control, overwhelmed...
I Timothy 1:7, You say..."For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (fear) but He has given us a spirit of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control."

C. When you're feelin' lonely, separated, frightenened...
Deuteronomy 31:6, You say..."Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you, He will never leave you or forsake you."

Prayer:
"Dear Father God, thank you that your Holy Spirit goes with me wherever I go causing me to have great favor and to be a success in all that I set my hand to. I have God on my side, the Blood of Jesus covers and keeps me. In Jesus Name. Amen!"

When we confess the Word of God over our lives, we can not help but see His Words flourish over our lives. There is power in the confessions of our mouth (good or bad). Just like God SPOKE the world into existence, He calls us to SPEAK to those things and situations no matter how we feel or what we see (faith); speaking His Word over it. Echoing back His Words into the atmosphere is powerful, and more than anything, it blesses Him!

I know you will be blessed as I was, and encouraged to know why even moreso of why we are to hide God's Word in our heart, so that we do not sin against Him (Psalm 119:11).
