Triumphant Victorious Reminders
Inspired by the Holy Spirit
Written By: Teresa Stevens Criswell
"The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows and proclaims His handiwork. Day after day pours forth speech, and night after night shows forth knowledge. There is no speech nor spoken word [from the stars]; their voice is not heard. Yet their voice [in evidence] goes out through all the earth, their sayings to the end of the world. Of the heavens has God made a tent for the sun..."
~ Psalm 19 (Excerpt from Psalm 19:1-4) Amplified Bible ~
I was turning onto our neighborhood street as we were on our way to take Tristin to school. I was swept away by the sky that was before me. Immediately it was as if the sky were reminding me of the Glory of God. The reminder led me to the skies hovering over me that once hovered over King David, Queen Esther, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and the many others who came before us. The same sun that shines also shone about on our Savior Jesus when He walked upon the earth. Creation spoke forth out of the mouth of God still 'til this day proclaim, declare and reveal the Glory of God!
Many times the 'trips' that my heart's mind escapes to in attempting to grasp the awesomeness of God is truly indescribable. I call it taking a trip off the 'Vanishing Cliff' when attempting to grasp such indescribable awesomeness. As I fall into this 'cliff' that is eternal my parachute of reality slows the fall, as I maneuver back onto this temporal, physical realm. My spirit can handle the grandeur of the cliff, but my mind pleads with me to stop as comprehension of Almighty God is more than I can fathom.
I am swept away by the creation of God that reveals His grand Majesty! Even when I pass away, the heavens will still proclaim and declare His glory. So in all of this, I am reminded that as I am allowed to be here on this earth for another moment; I desire to dig my toes into the earth's soil intentionally feeling every piece of dirt beneath my feet. Through my hands, feet, steps and words continually declaring God's glorious Majesty!
