Inspired by the Holy Spirit

"Roll your works upon the Lord [commit and trust them wholly to Him: He will cause your thoughts to become agreeable to His will, and] so shall your plans be established and succeed."
~ Proverbs 16:3 ~
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths."
~ Proverbs 3:5-6 ~
What does commit mean when we are to commit everything to the Lord? According to 'Webster's New Explorer Dictionary' it is the following first definition:
To put into charge or trust; ENTRUST
In other words, when we commit what we do, say and have to the Lord we must put Him in charge, we must Trust in Him and ENTRUST it to Him.
What is the definition of trust? According to 'Webster's New Explorer Dictionary' it is the following definitions (noun):
1. Assured reliance on the character, strength, or truth of someone or something
2. A basis of reliance, faith, or hope
3. Confident hope
A few synonyms to trust: confidence, dependence, faith, reliance
The verb to trust (action):
1. To place confidence: DEPEND
2. To be confident: HOPE
5. To rely on or on the truth of: BELIEVE
These definitions are eye opening for me.
I need to place my confidence on God.
I need to be confident in Who He Is; not only in what He does.
I must Hope in Him.
I must ENTRUST all things to Him.
I must rely on the truth of Who He Is, by believing in HIM.
No matter what my circumstance, body, report, or people say I must believe that God is Who He Says He Is. I must TRUST only in Him.
God reminds me today of Proverbs 3:5-6. When we trust in the Lord with ALL our hearts like He says to do, there is no room to place trust in anyone or anything else - especially ourselves. When trusting Him with ALL our hearts, there is no room for disappointment in others or things, because it will bring us to the realization that ALL things work together for good to those who are called according to HIS purpose.
There are many things we learn throughout the day when we allow the Lord to teach us. So many times we misplace our trust in our spouses, children, friends, jobs, etc. However we will all fail each other. I believe that we can have confidence in each other's integrity, however God has not called us to trust in anything or anyone but HIM. For He knows how idolatry can sneak right in, without us even knowing.
"Father God, I want to trust You Lord with all my heart and I don't want to lean on my own logic or understanding. Thank you for your reminders to trust in You at all times. I realize again, the more we learn about Who You the more I realize I know nothing at all, for You are so AWESOME and ETERNAL. Thank you that you are the Author and the Finisher of our Faith. You will see to it that our Faith in You is complete. I love you Lord. In Jesus Mighty Name, Amen!"
