TRIUMPHANT VICTORIOUS REMINDERS
Inspired by the Holy Spirit
Written by: Teresa Criswell

"Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth."
~ Psalm 46:10 ~

It is as though the sunset paints an amber, pink sky,
as I imagine sinking my feet into the wet sand as the tide rolls in and rolls back out.
Watching the amazing effects of the wind as the beautiful, curly waves roll in.
Standing still, mesmerized by the horizon that seems to go on for eternity.
The wind softly carressing my hair as I raise my arms to the sky to feel the breeze embrace me from every side.
Tilting my head back and closing my eyes imagining Almighty God blowing His merciful kisses upon me.

As I imagine the thoughts of God's glorious creation revealing His glorious love and majesty, I am reminded of the verse, "Be still and know that I Am God." I ask the Lord, "Father, this is so used as a cliche. I don't know the true meaning of this verse. How do I 'be still' in a world that is constantly racing?" "Lord, how?" It is as though I heard, "Teresa, still your racing thoughts of the regrets of yesterday. Still the thoughts of the rush of today. Still the thoughts of the fear of tomorrow and just 'be'. Take this moment and pause the growing 'to do' list of life and think on Me. As You think on Me you will remember and be reminded that I Am God."

I know there is much more to this scripture. However, I am being reminded today that tomorrow will take care of itself. Just as the wind blows and the tide rolls in I must remember moment by moment the One who remains constant and never changes in the midst of the constant changes of life.

Today for a moment let us pause our rushing thoughts and be reminded in the moment that God is truly God and there is no one else like Him.
