Weekend for the 4th of July! "Do You Hear Their Voices?"

"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land."
~ II Chronicles 7:14 ~

Do you hear their voices?
It is as the sound of a heartbeat.
It is a constant sound.
Do you hear their voices?
Their voices are as one as they shout,
"Do not forget!"
"Do not forget!"

Do you hear their voices?
"Forget not His voice. You have turned your hearts away."
"Did we die in vain?
We sacrificed our time with our families and our children for the future.
You are that future.
That future was meant to continue.
It was not meant for you to hoard and to toss away.

"They have sent their fathers, their mothers.
They have sent their sons, their daughters.
They have sent their brothers, their sisters.
They have sent their grandchildren.

Do you hear their cries in the midst of the bloodshed.
They died for your freedom and your liberty.
Do you hear their cries for home?
Do you hear the cries of their children?

God says, "I Am the Father to the fatherless, the Mother to the motherless."
I use you as my vessels to take care of them.
You have chosen not to be used.
Why? "Because it isn't my job" you said.
You also said, "Someone else will do it."
Someone else did do it.
Someone else did die for your freedom.
Someone else lost their limbs for your freedom.

Yet you say, "I have the freedom of speech"
yes you do, but that was never intended for you to
slander another human being with your words.
That freedom of speech was not to protect 'hate speech' but only to protect
the speech that proclaims the glory of God who allowed us this beautiful country.

Do you hear their voices?
Do you hear their cries?
"Look to the Cross of Calvary"
"Look at the One Who Died for Your eternal freedom"

I am led to great wonder.
When God looked to and fro before the foundations of the world were set?
He must have asked, "Who will go for them?"
And a mighty voice of Triumph said, "I Will Go, Father. I Will Go!"

Someone did do it.
Someone else did die for your freedom.
Who was He? Jesus!
The Name of Victory.
The Name of Triumph.
Do you hear Him say, "If my people who are called by My name
shall humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from
their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive
their sin and will heal their land.

"The sounds of His voice bid us to:
Humble ourselves, then pray, then seek His glorious Face
and turn from our wicked ways.
After we do this, His promise is that He will hear from heaven,
will forgive our sin and will heal our land.

It is no longer about whether we hear their voices, it is now about
are we going to heed to their voices?
Are we going to set our eyes on The Freedom Maker.

Turning away cannot be an option we choose.
Let us continue the future freedom,
let us not allow the freedom of our forefathers stop at our generation.
Let it continue.

May we be reminded on July 4th of why we truly get to celebrate.
It is because we can still hear their voices and their cries.
It cost them their lives; but the result was our freedom.

Let us shout the cry of our soldiers from the beginning of our country!
"There is no king; but King Jesus"!
