July 11 & 12 "God's Phone Number"
Triumphant Victorious Reminders
Inspired by the Holy Spirit

"'Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.'"
~ Jeremiah 33:3 ~
Do you ever try to help someone, yet they don't seem to want the help? They come to you saying they need your help, they are even willing to receive provision for it. However, beyond that, it's a constant, one-sided 'I'm in need' relationship.
It seems as though everything is fine, then suddenly they call you on the phone and there they go again. You start to feel like you are being taken advantage of. How do you know when to say, "Yes" and when to say, "Enough"? The most difficult part? You know you are led to help them, however the life tends to get sucked right out of you, when around these type of people.
I am finding that these are opportunities that we get to rely on God. These people unknowingly drive us to a place if we allow it, to go to God who is the Source of our help. He wants to be the One who carries their burden; it isn't our job or place to carry it. We will never be called to a place to carry our burdens or someone else's.
As I ponder this, I think of my mom and what she use to say. In a beautiful Korean accent she would say, "Girls! Do you know God's phone number?" Of course I remember being little and so excited to know His number. She continued by saying, "God's phone number is Jeremiah 33:3 he says, "'Call unto Me, and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things which you never knew before.'"
In these situations; when we feel the life getting sucked right out of us, and we don't know what to do or what to say anymore, let us not make it our last option, but our first. Our first option must be to call on 'God's Number'; Jeremiah 33:3. Call on God. When we call on Him, He will for sure answer us. If we stay on the 'phone' and listen beyond the answer He will show us great and mighty things which we never knew before.
I am thankful to God for the reminder to call on God's phone number. I am also grateful for being reminded of how my mom taught us how available God wants to be to us. Will I allow Him to do what He so desires? He truly desires to show us great and mighty things which we never before.
